Coffee Meets Protein Meets Chocolate Smoothie
Today I had a personal training session lined up for around mid morning. Although I wake up about 6am every morning, I didn’t want to eat a heavy breakfast before my training. Why? Well I don’t like the feeling of heaviness whilst I train, plus I don’t think its necessary to eat massive breakfasts (or sometimes breakfast!) anyway. But also in fear of throwing it up all over my trainer. Gee…now there’s a pretty picture!
So…I decided to whip up a smoothie. But hang on, I also wanted a coffee. Coffee or smoothie? Coffee or smoothie? Or maybe I should have protein? Hmmm…now you see my dilemma. I am so first world already! Gosh!
Anyway, all of these ‘wants’ led me to this creation… a coffee, chocolate, protein smoothie. And all healthy and good for you. Bring it on baby!

- 1 Can of coconut milk (with cream included) or equivalent of Almond Milk
- 2 Dates, pitted
- 1/3 C Walnuts
- 1 Small Banana
- 1 TB Cacao Powder
- 1 Shot of Espresso
- 1 TB Protein Powder
- 1 C Ice
- 1. Seriously? You want directions? Ok...
- 2. Throw stuff into blender
- 3. Blend
- 4. Drink!
- If you want it thicker, add more protein powder, or thinner add more milk! Too easy!
