Ah…the beloved broccoli. It was once the vegetable that I despised. I would come up with a multitude of ways to hide this green horrid vegetable at dinner time – under my plate, in a napkin or throw it under the table. But today it sits high up on my favourite foods to eat daily. If the […]
I am always on the look out for easy to prepare meals that are healthy and that cater to my real food only lifestyle. This recipe is one of my favourites because like a pizza, you can change the toppings so easily and end up with a completely different meal.
Even though I eat a grain free diet, I still admit that the ole slice of bread is a nice treat. But its not so nice when it causes me gastrointestinal inflammation and bloating. Boo! So this beautiful creation is a nice, fluffy (did I mention fluffy?) alternative to eating pro-inflammatory grains that can cause leaky gut.
Ever wonder what makes wobbly jelly and marshmallows stay together? That would be the gelatin. When I was vegetarian I took delight in telling people that gelatin was made from horses hooves. This means being very well acquainted with recipes and real foods that have minimal possibility of causing inflammation to the body or damage to the gut lining. It also means that I believe in constantly chasing your health […]
The world of nutrition is literally flooded with competing marketing that push contradictory information. If you were to google the words “best diet” and read through the top results, you would be gobsmacked at the inconsistent information (not to mention the marketing campaigns that try to pull you in their direction with promises of bikini bodies or a […]
Depression goes beyond just a condition or a disease or a low mood. It becomes you. A weight that can’t be lifted. Like a tunnel with no light. Seemingly no end or way out. It seems devastating to me that someone can lose a smile. But it happens to so many people these days. Depression is […]
